Dear my one follower,
Last Saturday I fell off a horse named Breezy (we're awesome jumpers together). She was cantering really fast. - You know I was at a lesson cantering in a 20 meter circle. Her canter isn't very comfortable that way. It's extremely unbalanced. (Have you ever realized horses canters are much better AFTER they take off a jump??? With Breezy that's the only way it's comfortable.) So when I put one of my hands off her mane (I was riding english) and pulled back, I lost my balance. I ended up leaning forward. It wasn't soon I was almost laying on her neck. I knew I was going to fall. Then I saw we were ending to the big wooden fence. I knew I was either going to fall and try not to hit my head or get flipped over the fence with a couple of broken bones. So I decided to fall anyways. I made sure I didn't hit my head on the fence and got up right away and hopped back on! After the lesson was over and I dismounted, I realized my left foot hurt REALLY bad! I was limping pretty bad but tried not to show it in front of other people. I must've landed funny 'cause it hurt! When I got home my dad took a look (dealt with this a lot back in his baseball playin' days) and said it was nothin'. Then he moved it towards the left and I almost screamed! It hurt that bad. So time for urgent care. I sprained it or something. Not my ankle though. The inside of my foot was sprained. My foot was a little swollen so that's why it hurt so bad. I went on crutches for like 3 days until I decided I could walk. When I went to school Monday EVERYBODY had to know what happened. Glad that's over with. Yesterday at physical therapy (something my mom makes me do) they looked at it and saw the pretty colors and said it was pretty bad, I could tell. So we did a couple of workouts to help get it back to normal and today it feels swollen again! Oh well, it'll be over with soon. Glad i got my first horseback riding injury OVER WITH!!
Love,
Savanna!
PS That day I also bought myself a pair of english tall boots. :D
