Happy Birthday To All The Horses in the World!

So you all know that January 1st is every horses birthday, right? All registered breeds turn one year old on New Years. I just found that out today and thought it was pretty cool!

Oh and yeah.....

OH MY GOD!! Went to jumping camp today and you wouldn't believe what happened!! First, I got there and it seemed they weren't expecting me. My trainer came up and asked, "Did I know you were coming?" I said I emailed the other trainer who put this together. That trainer said she never got my email which is insane because I got a response saying I could come. But they let me ride anyways, I mean lets face it, I was gonna pay them.
So after I finally get out there the beginner trainer says to come with her. HUH?!! There were little girls in there who didn't know what to do. And this other girl thought she knew everything! I knew she rode the horse I was before because she was all "oh Cougar" blah blah blah blah blah! SO annoying! Then while waiting in line Cougar got impatient and started moving around backing up, you know that kind of stuff. I got him to stop while that same girl said, "Cougar WHOA!" I'm like seriously I got this! Well I didn't say it aloud but God knows I wanted to. Most of the time we didn't jump. Finally she set up a crossrail for me and that other annoying girl. It was her first time jumping, but it wasn't like the first time I jumped. It was more like trot trot trot step over trot trot trot trot. Cougar didn't feel like really jumping because it was so dang tiny!!! Then we watched the more advanced group in the other arena doing pretty cool jumps. I envied them.
Then lunch, arts and crafts, movie (not really).
Then we went into the cover arena to set up a jumping course. It was raining too hard to ride. Then we all jumped over them ourselves. I didn't feel like it. Well really, it was kinda a bummer. But then again it was kinda fun.
Oh AND I got locked in a bathroom. YIPPEE!! LOL! :) Not as I hoped but it was pretty fun!

I Fo'got To Tell Ya!

Dear my one follower,
Last Saturday I fell off a horse named Breezy (we're awesome jumpers together). She was cantering really fast. - You know I was at a lesson cantering in a 20 meter circle. Her canter isn't very comfortable that way. It's extremely unbalanced. (Have you ever realized horses canters are much better AFTER they take off a jump??? With Breezy that's the only way it's comfortable.) So when I put one of my hands off her mane (I was riding english) and pulled back, I lost my balance. I ended up leaning forward. It wasn't soon I was almost laying on her neck. I knew I was going to fall. Then I saw we were ending to the big wooden fence. I knew I was either going to fall and try not to hit my head or get flipped over the fence with a couple of broken bones. So I decided to fall anyways. I made sure I didn't hit my head on the fence and got up right away and hopped back on! After the lesson was over and I dismounted, I realized my left foot hurt REALLY bad! I was limping pretty bad but tried not to show it in front of other people. I must've landed funny 'cause it hurt! When I got home my dad took a look (dealt with this a lot back in his baseball playin' days) and said it was nothin'. Then he moved it towards the left and I almost screamed! It hurt that bad. So time for urgent care. I sprained it or something. Not my ankle though. The inside of my foot was sprained. My foot was a little swollen so that's why it hurt so bad. I went on crutches for like 3 days until I decided I could walk. When I went to school Monday EVERYBODY had to know what happened. Glad that's over with. Yesterday at physical therapy (something my mom makes me do) they looked at it and saw the pretty colors and said it was pretty bad, I could tell. So we did a couple of workouts to help get it back to normal and today it feels swollen again! Oh well, it'll be over with soon. Glad i got my first horseback riding injury OVER WITH!!
Love,
Savanna!
PS That day I also bought myself a pair of english tall boots. :D

The Past Still Lives Today: My Riding Life

This little bubbly girl is me! Since the beginning I LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED horses!!! I'm still just like her but I don't look like her anymore. I have a hard time seeing how I got from there to here! I rode ages 8-10 or 11 and stopped. Then I started riding again. I've gotten better over these 10 months than I EVER EVER have in my riding life! I supose because I can do more now that I'm wayyyy older! Pretty much that's my riding life, of course there's more but that's just a little bit to it. What's Your riding life? I'd love to know! But I only have on follower and she doesn't ride, yet. Which reminds me Anna, can you advertize me on your blog please! You even have more followers than me!

Well Hello,

Well Hello!
Hey guys like my face!! Well hay guy!! My best friend Anna is the only one who follows this thing. Other people don't even know it exists! Well hopefully it'll get more views soon because I put the link on trotontv.com, a small interactive website for horselovers.
Anyways, I have a science project due in 2 months. Me and my friend are working together and we hope to do something that has to do with horses horseshoes. We were thinking testing the different kind of metals, different kind of shoes etc. But test it for what? Comfort? Best riding effect? I was thinking rusting but rusting take a lot of time and we only have 2 months. Oh well I'll think of something.

I Saw The Clock Change to December 1st

So I thought the first day of December would be awesome. Then I heard some news that my friend's "companion" horse bit her mom when she was just standing there. Aggressive or not?
His first bit. But let's go over his history. A former racehorse. Which means he probably was abused. Horses abused usually come out in anger. So once he really felt owned once again he started to get meaner as he was getting better. But he was always nice to me. This make me sad. To make it worse he was bought yesterday for a companion horse. I'll never know what he'll be able to do.

Goodbye Dixon, I'll miss you
So one bit, does that mean he's aggressive? Tell me what you think. I say no.

Since I was so sad about him being sold I made this video:
